We are a broker

PNT Car Ship is a licensed property broker (USDOT 0000000, MC 000000). We do not own or operate trucks. Ocean Blue Auto Transport and Ocean Blue Logistics Inc. assign each vehicle to a licensed and insured motor carrier, and that carrier performs the transport.

Quotes and booking

A quote is based on the details you give us: route, vehicle, whether it runs, transport type and timing. If those details are wrong or change, the price may change, and we will tell you before anything is charged.

Your shipment is booked when you confirm your dates with your coordinator. Pickup and delivery dates are windows, not guaranteed times, because carriers work around traffic, weather and other stops.

Payment

Nothing is due when you get a quote or book. Payment starts only once a carrier is assigned. Any balance is paid as agreed at booking, often to the driver at delivery.

Changes and cancellations

You can change or cancel a booking by calling your coordinator. Add your cancellation policy and any fees here.

Your part

To keep your shipment on schedule, you agree to:

• Give accurate locations, vehicle details and contact details.
• Have the vehicle ready at pickup, or send someone 18 or older with the keys.
• Remove valuables, toll tags and parking passes. Personal items are not covered by carrier insurance, and most carriers allow up to 100 lbs in the trunk, below the window line.
• Tell us if the vehicle does not run, so we can assign a carrier with a winch.

Inspection and damage

The driver inspects the vehicle with you at pickup and notes any existing damage on the Bill of Lading (BOL). At delivery, compare the vehicle to the pickup BOL before you sign, and write any new damage on the delivery BOL.

Every carrier must hold active cargo insurance. Damage claims are made against the carrier’s insurance, and your coordinator will help you file one. Damage not noted on the delivery BOL may be hard to claim.

Our responsibility

As a broker, we are responsible for arranging your shipment with care and for checking the carrier’s authority, insurance and safety record. We are not responsible for delays or loss caused by the carrier, weather, road conditions or events outside our control, except where the law says otherwise.
